The TecnATox Annual Workshop connects research and industry in food, health and sustainability

The Foyer Marià Fortuny at firaReus Events hosted the II Annual Workshop of the TecnATox group, organized by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and the Hub Foodtech & Nutrition, with the support of REDESSA and the Reus City Council. The event brought together around one hundred experts, researchers, and business professionals to promote innovation in food, health, and sustainability, fostering synergies and technological projects.

The Mayor of Reus, Sandra Guaita, and the Vice-Rector of URV, Ercilia García, inaugurated the session, highlighting the importance of knowledge transfer to businesses. The director of TecnATox, Mònica Bulló, introduced the session, which was structured into three main blocks: nutrition and health, technology and the environment, and toxicology. The presentation of the spin-offs Nanochronia, focused on detection systems for smart agriculture, and Up2Smart, specializing in computer vision for industry, stood out.

The event featured the participation of Manuel Palacín, director of the TECNIO Association, and concluded with the award ceremony for the best presentation, awarded to Saioa Gómez, and the best poster, awarded to Séfora Barberà, followed by the closing remarks by URV Rector Josep Pallarès.
