TecnATox Participates in the 9th International Colloquium of the Medical Anthropology Research Center (MARC)
rom June 3 to 5, 2025, the 9th International Colloquium of the Medical Anthropology Research Center (MARC) was held at the Rovira i Virgili University under the theme "Aging and Health: Challenges and Opportunities for Aging Societies."
The event brought together researchers from various fields of the social and health sciences with the aim of discussing the multiple challenges faced by societies with increasingly long-lived populations. The program was structured around several working panels that addressed issues such as public policies on aging and health, inequalities in access to health and social care, end-of-life caregiving practices, and bodily, emotional, and sexual experiences in old age.
TecnATox had the opportunity to take part in this event through the participation of Dr. Mònica Bulló, director of TecnATox and leader of the Nutrition and Metabolic Health (NuMeH) research group. Dr. Bulló gave a talk on "Nutrition and the Prevention of Dementia," highlighting the importance of diet and lifestyle as tools for preventing cognitive decline and promoting healthy, active aging.
Through this participation, TecnATox reaffirms its commitment to interdisciplinary research and contributes to advancing knowledge for healthy aging.
