Mònica Bulló leads the URV’s presence in the national ranking of researchers with the greatest scientific impact

Mònica Bulló, director of TecnATox and researcher in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, is the highest-ranked scientist at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in the new CSIC ranking of the most influential female researchers in Spain, placing 73rd nationwide. In this ranking, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili stands out with 124 researchers included and 16 placed within the top 10%.

The ranking, prepared by the CSIC's Cybermetrics Lab using data from Google Scholar, ORCID and OpenAlex, analyses more than 12,500 profiles of researchers affiliated with Spanish universities and research centres. The indicators take into account scientific impact and research productivity, such as the h-index and the number of citations.

In addition to Bulló, Rosa Maria Marcé, ranked 112th, and María José Figueras, ranked 140th, also stand out. The classification aims to give visibility to research led by women and to promote the use of open and verifiable scientific profiles.
